Mold Removal and Remediation Services

EcoLiving Services takes pride in our mold remediation process. It is designed to discover the source of mold and eliminate it quickly and efficiently. Mold can grow silently behind walls that have moisture or water issues. Mold can also grow visibly on ceilings, walls, floors or even hidden in areas that have high humidity or moisture. Most times mold ends up going undetected until a home inspection is done or until you see visible traces of it, long after it started to grow. At EcoLiving Services we do our best to respond and be on site as soon as possible to provide you exceptional service.

When on site, we go through the following steps to make your home or business mold free and comfortable again…

7 Step Process

Inspectors and Technicians will arrive on site, and start the inspection process. With meticulous attention to detail, we will inspect every section of your residence or business that can be conducive to mold growth. We will also conduct a full walkthrough inside and outside, as sometimes mold issues can be caused from water issues outside. We also inspect visible leaks that can bring in water, make sure all windows are properly opening and closing, check any sump pump or plumbing issues, and inspect closely for any cracks in the foundation or walls.
After identifying the mold problem, we will close off the entire infected area to prevent anymore cross contamination or spreading of the mold, in any way. With heavy duty plastic (6 mil poly) we will isolate the work area. Our Technicians will effectively make a small contained room, made of this heavy-duty plastic, which includes air scrubbers to eliminate any airborne spores. All ventilation ducts, vents, returns and other openings will also be properly sealed off. Containment is the most important process of mold remediation, it gives us a jump start on controlling and containing mold.
During remediation work, it is especially important to ensure that the air is free from floating dangers. A popular option is the HEPA air scrubber. These incredibly effective air filters pull and remove 99.97% of airborne particles that are 0.3 microns or larger. After air is pulled through the filter, you can either vent it out of the affected space to create negative pressure or leave it to blow back into the room. This would leave it at neutral pressure, which will clean any airborne particles. These air scrubbers are the best in the business and will immediately start making a difference by eliminating mold spores instantly.
We take pride in helping our customers save money anywhere they can. If damaged items are able to be thrown away before remediation, we advise you to do so. We are also very selective and careful on removing contaminated drywall, carpeting, cabinetry or any infected items, to prevent any unnecessary exposure.
Similar to our HEPA air scrubbers, we also use HEPA filtered vacuums, to ensure mold spores or mildew gets swept away off the floor, efficiently. HEPA filters are designed to capture 99.97% of airborne spores as well as spores in hard to reach areas like cracks in the floor or corners.
